Some things you should know about me

I’m an admin, if there is one thing that tingles my sensibilities then it would be managing Linux servers and making sure everything runs as smoothly as it can. (I’m looking at you uptime)

So are you imaging a geek in a lightly lit room with blinking servers all around? Clearly you don’t know what admins really do.

Working as an admin is all about interacting with users, developers, managers, etc… its the whole ecosystem and a bit more, I’ve always been expected to solve every problem anyone ever had, do I mind? To the contrary, I love solving problems, and if that makes someone happy and productive, that’s even better. Of course I don’t know the answer or solution to every problem thrown my way, but give me some time and I’ll figure it out, if its totally out of my league (usually its an Astrophysics problem) I will simply point you in the direction of the guy/girl that has the answer.

I’m an aspiring geek

I love all technologies, I write code, I design websites every now and then, I manage communication with clients and I do a lot more things, you can say I’m a Jack of all trades, master of some, and I love it!

I’m good at stuff

I love tinkering and hacking, knowing how stuff work on the inside, I’m also in love with statistics, maybe because I’m 80% left brained.

Problem solving is my inspiration, that’s when my creativity kicks in.

I’m not good at stuff

I’m an analytical thinker rather than a conceptual one, conceptual thinkers see a website, I see everything that makes one, I see the users, how they will interact with it, the technologies that are best fit for it, the analytics, the performance, the SEO, the design and everything else that makes the website complete.
